Enrolment procedure

Enrolment Policy - St Patrick’s School


The Board of Trustees of Saint Patrick’s Greymouth, shall ensure  enrolments comply with the requirements specified in the Integration Agreement and Private Schools Conditional Integration act 1975. The Special Character of Saint Patrick’s Greymouth will be up held in all decisions.  Saint Patrick’s School is the parish Primary School of the Catholic  Parish of Greymouth.


Submitting an application for enrolment at Saint Patrick’s School is not a guarantee of acceptance.


All students will need to obtain a Preference Certificate from the Priest of the Catholic Parish of Greymouh, subject to parents and caregivers accepting and agreeing to the conditions stated on the Preference Certificate.  Pre-enrolments at the school may be made prior to obtaining a Preference Certificate.  However, acceptance for enrolment at the school is conditional on the issuing of a Preference Certificate.


Enrolment Priority

Preference applicants will be accepted ahead of non preference students.









 If there are more non-preference applicants than places available, the following sub-priorities will operate.



Should there be more applicants in one priority group than there are places available, places will be allocated according to the date of pre-enrolment application.


If a number of applicants are at the same level of priority those to be enrolled will be decided by ballot.


Timeline 





The Board of Trustees delegates the authority to administer this scheme to the Principal.
