The retirement of our principal creates an exciting opportunity for the right person to lead our special character school into the future.

The board is seeking to appoint a highly professional Catholic leader with the ability to engage and inspire students and staff, who will be committed to building on our record of educational excellence and will share the mission of St Patrick’s School in developing socially responsive students, who live in accordance with the values of Jesus Christ and the Catholic tradition.

We are looking for an empowering educator with excellent communication skills who values and builds positive relationships with students, staff, parents/whanau/caregivers and the parish community.

We wish to employ a principal who has a proactive, collaborative leadership approach that empowers teamwork and develops professional capabilities.

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the curriculum with a strong focus on quality teaching and learning and be committed to enhancing student achievement.

A willingness to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school shall be a condition of appointment. The appointee will be required to accept and recognize the responsibility to maintain and preserve the Special Character of our school.
